Ms. Vaccarino now owns her own public relations firm, Xanthus Communications, and specializes in PR for individuals who are experts in their respective fields.

Ms. Vaccarino has a distinguished public relations record behind her before founding Xanthus Communications. She worked as the director of business development for Girvin Strategic Branding & Design, which is now one of Xanthus's clients. Ms. Vaccarino also worked for the University of Washington as a public information specialist working with research scientists on AIDS, Genomics, and bio-defense initiatives.

Adding to her high-tech credentials, Ms. Vaccarino served as the director of public relations for 360 Powered Corporation, which developed groundbreaking search technology for the Internet. Ms. Vaccarino was also a founding member and Vice President of Communications at PublishingOnline. She helped build PublishingOnline from start-up obscurity to ranking fourth among top online book sites.
