With over 35 years of practical experience in the fitness
industry, fitness expert Frankie Rongo is a
trainer, bodybuilder, actor, and a TV fitness analyst.
Mr. Rongo is currently the owner of Lifetime Fitness
, a personal training service that creates customized
weight-training routines for top professionals at health
clubs and office and home facilities. Mr. Rongo specializes
in complete technique supervision, nutritional programs,
cardiovascular conditioning, rehabilitative training,
body shaping, weight loss and gain, strength training,
competitive contest preparation, and motivation, from
beginning to advanced levels.
Mr. Rongo's fitness expertise spans multiple mediums.
He is the author of the Lifetime Fitness Food Plan, a
nationally-marketed food plan for overall health and weight
control, the creator of KidFit USA, a video series and
exercise program for children ages 5-12 (www.kidfit-usa.com),
and the inventor of the Calf Roller, a calf/lower leg
training device and cross-tension pushup system designed
for working the chest and triceps (www.calfroller.com).
Past positions held by Mr. Rongo include Fitness Director
of Gold's Gym and Manager of the Metropolitan Health Club.
He occupied the position of Northwest Cable News Fitness
Analyst from 2001-2005, in which he wrote, co-produced,
and hosted a weekly television segment entitled "Coach
Frankie," which covered all aspects of training and
nutrition. Mr. Rongo has been a competitive bodybuilder
for over 12 years and is a Power lifting and Masters Bodybuilding
Champion.
Mr. Rongo is nationally certified (and a continuing education
member) with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and
holds Elite Trainer status with the IDEA Health &
Fitness Association. He studied physical education, health
and nutrition, athletic training, and education at Montclair
and Jersey City State colleges in New Jersey.
Mr. Rongo has a wide range of media experience revolving
around his passions for fitness, acting and music. He
has appeared on regional media outlets such as Northwest
Cable News, KIRO TV, KOMO TV, and nationally on MTV, ESPN
and Entertainment Tonight. His film and television credits
include roles in Sleepless in Seattle, The Fugitive,
Lessie's Rainbow, and Northern Exposure.
He has appeared in a variety of television commercials
for companies including ARCO, the Bon Marche (Macy's),
Key Bank, and United Furniture Warehouse. Mr. Rongo's
acting education includes the "Tony Romano On Camera"
workshop, "Roth Casting Commercial Technique"
Workshop, and acting training with Alison Roth and Susan
Dixon.
