Joe Puggelli knows how to tackle tough business problems
that other consultants are too scared to
touch. The management consulting field allows Mr. Puggelli
to combine two of his greatest talents: He is a master
observer of human patterns and connections and can find
which patterns and connections relate directly to a company's
bottom line, and he is skilled at breaking down complex
problems into clear, concrete thoughts that clients can
use to make themselves more successful. His niche is working
with entrepreneurial companies, including the Greenfield
Consulting Group, Eastern Consolidated Properties, and
SL Green Realty.
Mr. Puggelli has an incredible and diverse background,
including a BA in Russian Studies from SUNY Binghamton
and a Masters degree in Slavic Languages and Literature
from Penn State, which had only just begun when he was
twice decorated for service in the U.S. Army during the
Vietnam War. He then went on to work for the CIA, also
during Vietnam. A distinguished veteran, he was nominated
by the Army War College to take part in National Security
Week, a program designed to educate military officers
about societal issues outside the military.
An outstanding principal, teacher, and former coach,
Mr. Puggelli has won a national Newsweek-Fannie Mae award
for excellence in teaching and also several awards for
coaching football and wrestling while in New York. He
is now the principal at nationally ranked Seattle Academy,
where he also teaches honors English at the Upper School.
