Xanthus Communications offers innovative, non-traditional PR solutions

New York, NY, August 8, 2005-The Seattle public relations company Xanthus Communications has opened a New York office. Xanthus Communications' new office will be located at 5 Tudor City Place in Manhattan's historic Tudor City neighborhood just above the United Nations and overlooking the East River. Xanthus Communications, founded by its managing partner Patricia Vaccarino, was officially launched October, 2003, during the Euro-American Women's Council which is held annually in Athens, Greece. The purpose of the EAWC is to promote connections among American and European businesswomen.

The move east for Xanthus Communications is part of a long-term strategic move by Ms. Vaccarino. Although Ms. Vaccarino has lived and done business in Seattle for over twenty-five years, the expansion to New York is expected to increase the client base for the company on both coasts. Ms. Vaccarino grew up in New York not far from the South Bronx. She left home at 17, went to school in Rhode Island, then left her family to forge her identity in the world.

As a world class public relations professional, Ms. Vaccarino has always wanted to grow her own communications business, one that would flourish in the old world of highly competitive New Yorkers and the new world of the techno-centric west coast. As a native New Yorker who has been a long-time resident of Seattle, Ms. Vaccarino will be able to connect influencers across sectors and industries on both coasts, and she will offer these influencers both traditional PR services and innovative approaches that bring results in today's crowded marketplace.
