audio titles, the Kanes' first book, Working on Yourself
Doesn't Work: A Book About Instantaneous Transformation,
was published in 1999. Within three months of its release,
the book became the number one best seller on Amazon.com's
Self Help/Personal Transformation and Satisfaction browse
lists. Working on Yourself Doesn't Work has been
used as a teaching text for First Nations (Canada's Indigenous
Peoples) and the Unity Church. Having sold more than 20,000
copies, the book is currently in its second printing.
It has been translated into German, Japanese, Russian
and Dutch.
The Kanes' second book, How to Create a Magical Relationship,
was released in September 2006 and is the winner of the
2007 Nautilus Book Awards in the category of Relationships/Men
& Women's Issues and a finalist in the Foreword Magazine
2007 Book of the Year Award in the categories of Family
& Relationships and Self Help.
"In the Moment," the Kanes' column, was published
in New York Spirit Magazine (formerly Free Spirit) from
1992 to 2005. They have produced many articles for national
and international publications and have been frequent

Shya Kane has led seminars in communication, effectiveness,
time management and personal transformation for more than
25 years. He has a degree in Anthropology from New York
University. Prior to leading seminars, Ariel Kane was
a successful actress, working on stage, in network television
and films. She is an award-winning photographer and currently
holds six women's world records with the International
Game Fish Association for fish caught with a fly rod,
including one for a 114lb 5oz Pacific Sailfish caught
on 12lb test tippet. (The line breaks with less than 12
pounds of pressure.)
