President and CEO, Director of the Calcionics Corporation, Chip Jacob is an
accomplished biotech executive
and entrepreneur. Mr. Jacob co-founded Sangretech Biomedical LLC, a developer
of a dendritic cell therapy that functions as a cancer vaccine, in 2004 after
incubating technology at the Haakon Ragde Foundation for Advanced Cancer Studies.
Mr. Jacob co-invented Sangretech's technology, authored its business plan, formed
the company, raised the seed round of capital, and led Sangretech into the clinic
in 18 months. Under his leadership, the company completed an international phase
I trial investigating the utility of its lead product candidate, Sangretech DC,
and licensed rights to the product to Bostwick Laboratories, the worlds' largest
provider of prostate pathology services. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Jacob was employed
at Northwest Biotherapeutics, Inc., where he held several management positions
of increasing responsibility in project management and business development. Prior
to Northwest Biotherapeutics, Mr. Jacob founded and served as president of Electra
Inc., a hardware and software distributor, which he sold to SoftwareMedia in 1998.
Mr. Jacob holds an MBA from the University of Washington
